Carroll Gray, CCE, served as a Chamber CEO at three different Chambers and ran the Charlotte Chamber for 22 years. Fundraising was always a top priority. and, in 2005, the Charlotte Chamber was the largest, privately funded Chamber in the US.
In 1994, Gray brought two important components together…..Total Resource Development and master fundraiser (on staff) and entrepreneur, Bob Confoy. This was the beginning of record-breaking fundraising campaigns and, since 2000, the Chamber has averaged 4M through its annual efforts, representing about 50% of its total budget.
